The members of Parliament are about to decide whether the tax cases will be dealt with by the administrative courts in the country. This view is not supported by the law commission at the Parliament and it insisted that this type of cases be only reviewed by five courts as it is currently (in Sofia, Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo, Varna and Bourgas). The purpose of the draft bill is to ease the heavy workload of the Supreme Administrative Court and to strike a balance in terms of this workload in the 28 administrative courts in the country. It is believed that if the tax cases are dealt with by the 28 administrative courts throughout the country, the access to justice will be significantly improved.
